A pant leg diverter is the movable sealing component of a dual-outlet valve, secured to the valve stem to prevent unintended movement and ensure leak-free switching between two discharge points. To guarantee tight sealing, the diverter plate fits perfectly against the valve body seat, maintaining contact under varying pressures.
Certain designs allow replacement of the sealing disk or wear elements, extending the service life of valves exposed to abrasion or high wear. Depending on plant requirements, the diverter can be operated manually via handle or automatically with actuators or gearboxes, and in check-valve configurations it can move automatically with the process flow.
